Liane and Martin
Liane and Martin had a wonderful winter wedding in the picturesque town of Rye in East Sussex.
Liane was getting ready at the ancient smugglers' resting place, The Mermaid Inn, which is said to be haunted! To help ward off the ghosts (and get ready for the big day) she had her squad of Suzie, Laura, Camilla and Stephen... who says bridesmaids have to be female? I met my first bridesman at this wedding and I hope to see more from now on! The service took place at the town hall, where the town cryer opened the ceremony. The room was brimming with family and friends, who then afterwards spilled out on to the tiny cobbled streets of Rye where the town cryer led us back to the Mermaid for the reception.
The reception was so much fun, I have never seen so many group dance routines! What I loved most though was how thoughtful this couple were, the guests were treated to scratch cards as favours, slippers when their feet got tired, the children had games to play and there was an old school raffle with proceeds going to Alzheimers Society.
Thanks Liane and Martin for inviting me to be a part of your day. Here are a few of my favourite photos, but scroll down for the full gallery!
